First time out of the vault
What is the best weapon against these beast from the following list

Plasma rifle, Laser Rifle, Gauss Rifle.. or any weapon that uses small gun/energy weapons?

Thx for any advice against these beasts
Also what area of the body do you attack to get best crit?
 
I've actually found the .44 Magnum Revolver to be quite effective, or the HK p390c. If you have sufficiently high SG skill, you can get quite a lot of Instant Kill criticals. They also have a low AP to use them. (4 normally, as low as 2 with the Fast Shot Trait and the Bonus Rate of Fire perk)
 
Super sledge, as it pushes them away and they have to use there AP running back to you.
 
Once you get sniper/slayer perk aimed shots become redundent. Even better when tied to better criticals, and the paria dog takes your luck up to 10.
