Game: Fallout 1
Error: Crashing with a Windows Application Error
OS: Win2k (currently updated)
Processor: AMD Athlon XP 3000
Memory: 512MB
Description: When I attempt to leave the Glow via the rope on the first level, or attempt to go to levels 4 or 6 using the elevator located on the 3rd level, the screen turns black, graphics seem to freeze, and in the background an Application Error pops up. Checked the forums some and didn't see this error right off, maybe I missed something, but I definitely didn't see anything like it aside from people complaining about getting too many rads.
I vaguely remember something like this happening before when I played years ago (~1999-2000), but I don't recall what the fix for it is. I've patched it to the 1.1 version, and no, it's not a pirated version. If anyone has any idea about how to fix it, I'd be real appreciative. Was kind of feeling a nostalgic vibe, have already played Fallout 2 not that long ago.
Oh yeah, and yes, again, I checked through the stickie FAQ. This is more of an actual application error than probably a directx or "reinstall fix" error. Doesn't seem offhand to have anything to do with the graphics, and I've installed this thing manually, so copying files again probably won't change much (I picked through the cfg and all paths seem correct). Just wanted to make sure that was all perfectly clear and good.
