FO1 Ammo Patch?

I've been searching through the forums and online this morning and I can't seem to find any information on the FO1 Ammo Patch in the "Files" section. I says it fixes a problem with the 223 ammo being too powerful and has a number of item protos files in it. The readme points me to a modding site, but nothing there discusses it. either. I have read of problems with AP ammo being weak; is this somehow related?

This is known that modifiers of ammo in FO1 didn't work. This mean that the FO1 ammo patch is unused. The AP or FMJ or JHP ammo has the same stats in real damage done to any target.
I tested this on FO1 patched to 1.2 and upper versions and AP or JHP ammo does the same ammount of damage.

Just to be clear, you mean all the modifiers: AC, DR, and damage multiplier? Did they change something hard-coded for FO2 so you can import working files from there?

I mean that Damage Multiplier/divider is not working in FO1.
I am not sure about DR modifier, it needs tests to check if is working.
AC modifier is working in FO1.

And yes, in FO2 is all Ok, however this is very hard to import to FO1 beacuse all functions calculated the damage based on ammo modifiers is hard-coded.

Wow, that is actually pretty significant. If multiplier isn't working, and DR is, that would mean that AP ammo is much better than JHP. Or if DR isn't, than it would be the same. Wish I had some advanced save games to test it out! Maybe in a few days I will...
