Ok, I finally found some time to upload that stuff. Some people still remember when I've worked on the Fallout 1 and 2 worldmap in one map in the Fallout 1 worldmap style... It's used in FOnline: 2238 right now and everyone can see it and rip it out of the game, etc. So now I finally release the stuff as it is in a whole.
Things to say about the worldmap:
You can download the archive here (approx 11mb). In the archive you can find the whole worldmap in *.png format and also a file for the *.msk. The worldmap is not cut in tiles and can't be used that simple in Fallout 2. It is needed to cut it first, convert it to frm, etc. etc. All that stuff.
In general, I think, every now and then I will get back to work on the map. Bur right now it seems pretty uncommon. One thing that is really annoying me is the sector grid. I can't hit the Fallout 1 style pretty good. The colors are somehow always a bit off. Also I can't just put the grid over the worldmap and make it half-transparent. I made the map with a lot copy&paste and rotating tiles, etc. So even in the basic resource file there are holes where the grid is. It's bad and yes, it could be fixed but would be a lot work to do... Also I am not 100% satisfied by the north part of the map. It has still some ugly parts but well... couldn't "fix" this yet... What else to say? The water color doesn't fit 100% with the one from Fallout 1 too. Couldn't really recreate this too.
The map has a size of 2100x3000px in total. It's a bit bigger than two times the original (Fallout 2) worldmap. Also I moved the positions of some Fallout 2 cities! I have done this to fill out the north a bit more. I think I have the coords of all locations still somewhere but would need to search them first. So... it's not needed to do a lot try&error until placing the locations somehow fits.
If somebody wants to edit the worldmap in some kind of way, feel free to do so. If someone can make it even better than it is, I would be interested in a new version too.
