FO1 Ending ~ Glitch or Not?

GasMan

First time out of the vault
Just finished FO1 for the first time. Yeah... I know.

I searched for a similar issue as I'm about to describe, but came up empty.

*Spoiler warning if it's not obvious*
So, once I blew up the military base, the screen showed the desert and panned across it.

It then started showing various pics and I swore I heard a clicking sound with each one. This was until it reached a pic of a Brotherhood member, Rhombus I believe, and I heard a voice explaining that the Brotherhood were able to eradicate the remaining mutants with few casualties. It seemed to be cut-off quickly.

The game proceeded to show a few more pictures and a *click* sound with each.

Then I was taken to the Overseer "debriefing".

My question is: Is this normal? It sounded to me like the *click*s were sound files that tried to start playing but got cut short.

Any info on this would be awesome! Thanks!

Disable sound acceleration in Dxdiag? As mentioned in the sticky?

I'll give that a try. I must have skipped over it as it's titled to pertain to FO2. Thanks!

So I'm assuming from your reply then that there is supposed to be more voice over relating to the pics?

There should be a short narration for each, yes, one or a few sentences.

I have the same problem on my Laptop, while on my desktop pc everything is fine. I couldnt figure out what the problem is unfortunatly. Are you playing the game on a laptop maybe?

Go-go reading the entire thread including the bit where he said he'd fixed it, and how.
Moron.

Just to clarify, setting the Hardware Acceleration to None fixed the problem.

Thanks Per!

Dont you think youre overreacting a bit mister wanna-be tough guy?
I'm wondering if youre talking to people the same way in real life? I would think not.

Anyways, I was a bit quick posting, I realized my post was pointless after I posted it already.

Good the problem has been solved, it works now on my laptop aswell.

Oh quit your whining. Hint: if you ask stupid questions, you get these kinds of responses. Maybe next time you'll actually take the time to think your response over.
