[FO1} game crashed and said memory error

First time out of the vault
I am playing FO1.

I got it from gog and I used patch 1.2.5 and 1.3.3 sugested here.

the game was working fine, but right in combat, ian was taking his turn and the screen went blank. I was in the vault 15 part of the game.

any suggestions?

I am going to try again and if it crashes again do a clean install.
