i need help finding something

where in fallout2 do u find the guys from the (BOS) who are looking for the holy hand grenade. p.s:if i posted this in the wrong message room im sorry.

It should have been posted in the Fallout 2 forum (i think it was too) but it's a completely random special encounter so there's not much you can do too "find" it.. I don't know but i think the Explorer perk might help a bit.
