Quick question on unarmed/melee perks - any help is apprecia

Do the Bonus HTH and the Slayer perks cover both unarmed and melee weapon attacks, or do they just cover unarmed combat?

HTH works for both unarmed and melee weapons, as far as I can remember, and I'm pretty certain that the Slayer perk works with unarmed (wouldn't know since I was mainly using wakishi blade).

I guess the easiest way to check is when I get Lvl 18, save before selecting the perk and just experiment a little. If I'm using a knife and criticalling every time, I'll have my answer soon enough.
