I have both FO1 and FO2; and have successfully installed and played amost completely thru FO2. But I have struggled for some time to get FO1 properly installed.
But, as a result the good work here:

I have now successfully installed Fallout 1 (Humongous Installation), and have played through about 75 "days".
Of course , all the expected blackout problems, crashing problems, have occurred. But with the installation of the Patches 1.1 and 1.2 (English) found here:
http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/dload.php?action=category&cat_id=12
those problems have been mostly solved.
But now I became ambitious and installed the Unofficial Patch 1.3.2. ENG Team X, found in the same location. The game loads as usual but when I attempt to load the previously saved games, a Fallout game pop-up informs "Error loading game. Unable to load game." for all saved games.
The Fallout load-screen identifies the game as Fallout 1.2.
My search for a solution in these forums has been, so far, unsuccessful.
Does anybody have any suggestions?
Thank you in advance.
My self-built computer has Windows 2000Pro 5.0.2195 Service Pack 4 Build 2195 installed, and has been running well for over a year.
