FO1: What are the newest & best Patches / (simple) Mods?

Nostalgia hit me once again, and I was thinking about replaying the old Fallout 1.

It's been years and I've never really followed the FO1 modding scene, so I'm not sure what to go for. Ideally, I'd like the following:
- bug fixes
- some restored content (in the spirit of killap's RP for FO2)
- some minor new tweaks (like the NPC armor mod for FO2, or some cool weapons, damage or animations updates)

I have an ancient FO1 CD, which I think doesn't even have the children in it, so as vanilla as they come.

From the Files section at NMA, I can see I probably want to go for the following (in that order):
- Fallout Official v1.1 Patch (WIN)
- Fallout Patch 1.2 ENG TeamX
- Fallout 1 Children Patch
- Fallout Patch 1.3.4 ENG TeamX
- Fallout NPC Mod v3.4 English version
- Restoration project (is the latest FO1RPv10b1?)

Is this all I need, and will all these be compatible?
Were there some other mods/patches I should look for?
What about some higher-resolution patch, is that already included in the ones listed above?
I really wanna have a clean game of FO, to see it at its best since years ago when I played it last.

Thanks for any info or suggestions you can make!

Well, there's a newer v1.3.5 of the FO patch and the corresponding NPC mod v3.5.

And there's also an FO1 version of the High-res patch.

Check the RP thread for info on it (Wasteland Ghost made some recent changes, i think).

Sweet, so my final set-up is as follows:

- Fallout Official v1.1 Patch
- Fallout Unofficial Patch 1.2
- Fallout 1 Children Patch
- Fallout Unofficial Patch 1.3.5
- Fallout NPC Mod v3.5
- Restoration project (latest I could find is FO1RPv10b1?)

Thanks for your help, x'il. If anyone else knows of any interesting (but not major) mods or bug-fixes, let me know! :)

Check the readme of the unofficial patch. I am not sure right now, but I think you don't have to install the official patch.

Under circumstances, it can hurt. If it works like Fallout 2, check if you have a patch000.dat and delete it before you start the game.

I don't have patch000.dat. Checking the readme of Unofficial Patch 1.2, I'm getting the vague idea that it doesn't matter whether it's applied to any language version of 1.0, 1.1 or 1.2 of the game.

FO1 does not have patchXXX.

That's what I thought, but I didn't know anymore. Never really checked out Fallout modding / patching stuff.

By the way, am I the only one who has problems with wikia these days? It's damn slow since days.
