(FO1) White screen of death!Please help me!

First time out of the vault
Ok so installed Fallout 1 from the Fallout collectors edition (with FO 1, 2 and Tactics)....but whenever I try to play it everything is birght white.I can just about make out the outlines of things.Can someone please help me?PLEASE?!Oh and my laptop (which has windows XP) can EASILY handle the specs so the specs aren't a problem.Also i've tried running it in windows 98/ME compatibilty mode...and that didn't help.PLEASE HELP!!

There's a whole section in the Troubleshooting FAQ about XP crashes. Have you tried doing as Odin suggests (disable your vid card through the Device Manager, changing hardware acceleration and queue priorities, set up a Win98 VM--which is, BTW, how I roll--the compatibility toolkit, updates, reinstalls, etc)? When you've tried those, come back, and maybe with some system specs too.
