your best npc ??

To anyone who cares

Who is (or was) your best npc in combat
and what weapons did you give them??

so far tycho with sniper rifle would be my combo but I am only 2/3rds through the game.........Ian seems worryingly reluctant to join in most times . I am sure there are better NPC / weapon combo's ........ FO2 I had a fondness for Cassidy + combat shotgun ......

Tycho is indeed awesome with the sniper rifle. But Katja kicks serious butt with the ripper. She does a lot of damage plus she has the best sequence, or so it seems, of all the NPC's. She can attack two times before an enemy attacks. Depends of course on the sequence of the enemy but at least she can attack two times before the other NPC's.

I usually go with Ian w. the .223 pistol, Tycho w. a Sniper Rifle or Combat Shotgun, and Katja w. a Ripper. Add to that ME with the Alien Blaster, and you've got a devastating combo.

Katja with that pistol you have in the beginning (i dont remember what it´s called) i very good, she gets critical hits all the time!

Dogmeat was the best in Fallout 1 for me. But I have to go with Goris in Fallout 2. He just tore off that cloak and tore into everyone.
