FO2 1.02 Mac on 10.4: No combat controls!

Just as is says, when in the NPC dialog screen, hitting the Combat Control button causes the menu box to slide down, but no CC menu slides in, can only back out to the main menu by hitting the ESC key.

This has happened with all the NPCs I've added to my party, Sulik, Cassidy and Vic, havn't tried with others. Trade, Barter, Heal etc. all still work though.

Thanks! Yeah, it seems to be very sticky worthy, sine I've asked elsewhere about this for the better part of 2 weeks and nobody had any ideas.
