I'd like to find out just how much I know about Fallout 2. Could you guys ask me the hardest questions you can think of?

Every question I can think of would be too easy for the experts on this board. Heck I guess I can ask one of the more obscure questions: What is the only upgradable weapon Algernon cannot upgrade?

Nope, he can't upgrade the spear to a sharpen spear. The only guy who can do that upgrade is your fellow tribesman, Mynoc.

I wouldn't call that an upgrade, just a quest reward. You can do it without having a Spear on you and you still get a Sharpened one.

1. Algernon in Fallout is based on another character, name the novel he is from and the name of the character he portrays from the novel in the game. Hint: The novels character he portrays is NOT Algernon.

2. How much skill do you need to booby trap Bishop's safe.

3. What does Chris Wright do to you when you approach him as a slaver. Hint: I'm looking for the first thing, just a general idea of what he does, not 100% accuracy.

4. How do you get Dr. Troy to ask you for Jet (because he doesn't ALWAYS ask, at least not when you're a citizen of VC :(

5. When thrown, how much damage does Uranium ore do.

6. How much Uranium ore do you need to make the Atomic Grenade and who provides it.

7. What quest involves busting up the slave pen in The Den and whom gives it to you.

8. What is a Canis burger made of.

9. Whats the secret ingredient of Iguana prime choice select cuts (the shish-kabobs).

10. Where is the Cats paw in fallout one (I know thats not FO2 but I just like to test knowledge).

11. Who is Dogmeats "real" owner. Hint: Character from a movie.

12. What does it mean if your character begins to throw up randomly (such as travelling across the map).

13. Can you REALLY get hooked on Nuka Cola?

14. What about becoming an alcoholic?

15. Can you obtain the Virgin trait and how? Hint: Yes it DOES exist, I used to use the image from .dat file of it in my posts, but that was a LONG time ago.

16. What does the Retinal Scanner in the docks of San Franscisco do?

17. What is the Elvis painting made of and how much does it sell for on average.

18. What is the earliest in the game you can get directions to New Reno and from whom?

19. Is there any way to NOT fight Darion aside from sneaking around him or just getting the parts/vault location and exiting.

20. How much is it for the official map to V13 from the doctor in NCR.

21. When you ask for a V13 map, what does Merk in the back of the bar in the bazaar of NCR give you and where does the location on your map lead to.

22. Why does it say "This is Lenny, Remember? the Obnoxious one?" is this a reference to FO1 and if so where is Lenny in FO1.

23. What is Set from FO1's son's name in fallout 2 and where does he live.

24. Who plays Marcus' voice in FO2, actor name or popularized television character name accepted as well.

25. What can be found for armor in the Golden Gecko caves area. Also, what is required to use the elevator. Hint: Two things.

That's it, 25 questions, they seem simple and some are false but I leave that to your awesome guru of Fallout abilities. Enjoy.

2. 80% Repair and Traps skill, but that's not my own knowlege, I remember someone saying it here.

3. I *guess* he either atacks you or yells at you.

4. I guess you have to talk to him about your traveling, never tried it myself.

5. (Who would want to throw it?) Again, just a guess, 1-3.

6. No such a thing as "Atomic Grenade".

7. As far as I know, there is no such a quest.

8. No idea.

9. Are we talking about the Iguana-on-a-Stick from FO1? If we are, it's human flesh.

10.No idea.

12. It means you're radiated.

13. Yes.

14. Yes.

15. I guess you get it at the end of the game, if you didn't sleep with anyone. Never tried it,who would?

16. Cannot recall a Retinal Scanner at San Fransico.

17. Leather, I think, but that's just a guess. No idea about the price.

18. I think it's from the Laura at the Den.

19. As far as I know, there usn't a way.

20. 10000, but I think you can get it down to 6000 or something.

21. No idea.

22. No idea at all.

23. If Set had a son, which is very hard to believe, and if the son did survive the attack on Necropolis by the mutants(and by me ;-)), and that son was in FO1 as well, I guess it must be Harold. But I don't think he had a son.

25. Combat Armor, and you need to repair the generator and electronic lockpicks to open the elevator.

I didn't answer questions 1,11 and 24 because I don't know anything about movies.

Well, I can help with 11 and 24:

11. Seems to be Mad Max, a la "Mad Max", "Mad Max 2: Road Warrior", and "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome". He will actually show up in the Cafe of Broken Dreams if you attack Dogmeat.

24. Marcus is played by Michael Dorn, better known as Worf from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Dorn also does the voice for Agent Horrigan, though it's "tweaked" a bit to give the impression of speaking through powered armor.

For # 1 isn't Algernon from the book/ movie "Flowers For Algernon" ???? where Algernon is a mouse they give an experimental drug to that makes him smarter.... the title character is named "Charly" and he's retarded .....the drug works on the mouse and he does the mouse maze much faster than before so the docs give Charly the drugs in hopes it will work on him......it works on him and he becomes normal and smart...but soon the docs notice that Algernon is not doing the maze well anymore and they surmise this will happen to Charly too...so poor Charly is doomed ....i think that's how it went...been 20 years since i read that book.

Correct! Very perceptive of you. Algernon is based on Charlie from the novel, an obvious retard :D

It's a disc (holodisc) it leads you to a duplicate of the V13 entrance map except the end of the tunnel is a dead end with a under construction sign.

well well well. for the question about killing the slavers in the den, i dont think it was mom who asked for it, all i remember is that Rebbecca (the casino owner) PAYS you for killing them. Not sure if she gives the quest either.

The quest was deactiviated but they forgot to close Rebecca's dialogue options. Anyway, it's just like many unfinished quest in the game, such as the one to put all the kids into an orphange in Den.

Set does have a son. He is in Broken Hills, and will ask you to get some things(first a bottle of RotGut(I think), then an issue of Cat's Paw, then an inflatable doll.).

I don't know if it's a reference to Lenny from FO1. But there was a Lenny in FO1, wandering outside the Maltese Falcon in the Hub.
