About the car...

Can someone tell me all the parts, that you can install to the car? I have found the fuel cell regulator and the part you get from NCR. (I don´t remember the parts name)

RE: About the car...

Go to Gecko in the junkyard zone and search a ghoul named Skeeter, he is the mechanic of the city and, if you give him a super tool kit, he will give you the last part of the car engine.
P.S. I'm not sure about the name, search something similar.

RE: About the car...

You´re talking about the fuel cell controller, right? That was the first part I found. I wouldn´t have a car without that part.
Maybe I should have mentioned that I already had that.

RE: About the car...

Sorry :P :P i confused the fuel cell controller with the fuel cell regulator :P Now from what i understand the part that you miss is in Klamath in the trapper town zone. You have to go back in the tunnel of the rat king quest and search for an another exit. After you get out from the tunnels search for a destroyed Highwayman then give everything to the mechanic in Den.

RE: About the car...

Here are all the upgrades I know.

Gecko- Fuel Cell Controler, most important part-- it gives the car in Gecko needs to run. Smitty will install it for $2000

Klamanth- Fuel Regulator- Makes the car run more effeciently, saving 50% fuel.

New Reno- The Chop Shop boys will offer an upgrade that will increase trunk space, effeciency, and I think something else if you by the car from them. After you buy the car they will offer the upgrade, at a bargainable price

NCR- The hooded fellow to the left can offer to sell and install a blower named Claudia that increases power. This will cost $1000. The blower gives the car more power, but I'm not sure what that means.

These are all the parts and upgrades I know.

RE: About the car...

After you've completed the game, you can supposedly get antigravity plates from the Chop Shop which speed up the car even more. I'm still not entirely sure how this works, since I always blow away T-Ray and co. for messing with The Chosen One's ride.

RE: About the car...

"The hooded fellow to the left"

What is that suppose to mean? To the left of what??

[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON Apr-20-02 AT 01:26PM (GMT)[p]The Anti-Grav plates make the car consume almost no fuel at all (I don't think I've ever had to refuel after getting the plates) and they make the car go fast. I mean, like, real fast. You can drive across the map in two or three seconds (ignoring random encounters ofcourse) without using a single micro-fusion cell. It's really worth it. I just left my car in Broken Hills whenever I needed to do business in New Reno until I finished the game - simple enough. (And as long as you keep your wheels off Virgin Street, you can still drive in).

EDIT: As for the hooded fellow, he's the hobo to the left of the slave holding center in the NCR bazaar. He'll also give you a bit of gossip for some change, but nothing spectacular.

RE: About the car...

Left in the NCR entrance map.

And as I understand from Per's walkthrough the boys that stole your car can only upgrade it once. So like saboteur said don't leave your car alone in the New Reno entrance map (you can leave it in other patrs of New Reno) until AFTER you finished the game, if you want those anti-gravs.
