Alternative endings-

Does anyone wonder what might have happened to the members of the party that survive the ordeal? Why didn't the Fallout2 people make a plug for what happened to the characters? Besides the martial bliss of Lynetter and Westin (thus justifying divorce law in a post apocalytic world), the child of the Chosen one born of the Bishops, and Myron's demise, it would have been nice to know what happened to our characters.

I did notice that on return to Klamath that Vic showed little interest in staying (perhaps he figured the girl in the bath house wasn't really "the One"). So what happened? Did he go into business with daughter Val, or perhaps did he open up a shop in New Reno (as he keeps saying he will when he retires?)

What kind of character endings would you like to see?

For example- Maybe our Intelligent deathclaw comrade survives, marries a less intelligent and is the founder of New UCLA.

Cassidy- goes to Texas to see if it survived the war, opens a bar south of border, marries, rediscovers Tequila and thus rivals Jet as the alcohol of choice. Dies in his sleep of a heart attack.

Myron, gets stabbed to death by the Medical Assistant at the Vault whom he turns into a Jet addict.

Skynet- spends the next 50 years doing research and dispensing condoms at Ms. Kitty's Cat Paw and fixing Nuke cola machines throughout the wasteland. Discovers new batteries and keeps going, and going, and going.....

Marcus- after adventures in Ms. Kitty's, spawns new generation of mutants/paramours? Joins the Brotherhood and helps give the BOS another lease on life.

Lenny- reunites with Harold and these two spend the next 200 years telling stories about their experiences with the Vault Dweller/Chosen one. Organize reunions for next 100 years. Wake up one day to find that their really just talking heads.

Sulik- Ever find that sis? becomes ventrioloquist when he gets the grumpy bone to talk?

NCR merchants- join together to form a retail monopoly through California that excludes all non-midgets (whom them insist should be called "the vertically impaired").

Darin- death by cow.

Torr- still lost in the woods, gets adopted by wolves who are happy that they can outsmart him.

Vagrants on the Tanker- move to catalina island or Hawaii, open up Hedonism 3.

Other possible thoughts?

Who would want tequila when there's Dyer whisky? Jet isn't really alcohol.

Nooooooo

Chris Avellone pulled the plug on that one, I'm afraid. Super mutants are officially sterile.

RE: Alternative endings-

Well, endings are another area that could've been finished to the designers' liking but didn't due to deadlines.

Actually, Per, I believe what Big C said was that the juice may flow( a la reflex physical response), there are no sperms/or the sperms are mutated beyond the ability to ferti. a egg. That would make sense in a evolutionary pattern. The next step up should have been asexual, with the ability to reproduce without a partner.

RE: Alternative endings-

It would be cool if they had added a little bit to the ending if your sex count got REALLY high... it could say that your numerous progeny form the elite ruling class in a region-wide government.

RE: Alternative endings-

I would assume the ending are not descriptive so that the makers have more flexability for the next storyline in Fallout 3. In the fallout 1 ending, shady sands became NCR. When Fallout 2 came around they had to have NCR. But one thing that puzzles me is how could the gouls get kicked out of necropoles and still have the big water trade as mentioned in the ending. There is no way around it.
