in ur opinion which gun is better? bozar or vindicator minigun??? my friends all reckon that the bozar is the ultimate sniper gun (apart from the gauss of course) but i argued that i've done about 2000 damage to an enclave troop with my vindicator...hmm just curious bout ur thoughts?

This seems to crop up a lot, and it depends what target you're shooting at and such.

If you'd look through the old threads, there's likely a good number of topics like this, of bozar vs. vindicator.

the real question should be

which gun does more excessive damage. i mean really, is 2000dmg really needed?

or maybe which gun is more practical

The Vindicator will almost always do more damage, largely because it uses better ammo and fires more bullets per burst. It also fires 4 times before you have to reload.

That being said, the Bozar uses much more common, cheaper ammo, and does enough damage to kill most enemies in a single burst. It doesn't have the armour penetration the Vindicator has, but again that comes down to the issue of good, expensive ammo vs. average, cheap ammo.

While the Bozar is a better weapon than the Vindicator for reasons of cheap ammo, there is another downside. The Bozar requires constant reloads. I have an AP of 12 and I can fire off two bursts and reload each round. With the Vindicator you get more fire per reload.

Personally I go with the pulse pistol you get off the Enclave troopers near Navarro (how are you going to use up all those small energy cells!) and the Pulse rifle you get from BOS base. Nothin quite like vaporizing the bad guys. I also like the modified power fist and the Gauss rifle. Unsure what is the best weapon all around for the Enclave troopers, but I think its the Gauss. More nasty criticals and at least you put them on their ass when you hit 'em.

[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON May-14-02 AT 04:28PM (GMT)[p]Years ago some one on this forum took the time type out the fomula he used to determine the absolute maximum damage you can do with the Bozar and Vindiactor (including perks, ammo and what not). His results (which went undisputed) showed the Bozar has the highest possible damage. I am sure if you dig through the archives you may find it, but I am not about to take the time. Also the Bozar has better range, and in my opinion better grouping of the bullets over further ranges.

Vidicator ammo is hard to come across when you've been fighting the Enclave troopers, i have to save ALL the ammo from though-out the game just to use the Vindicator all through the Oil Rig (sometimes i have to switch to bozar becuz i run out of Vindicator ammo)
