Big discovery or big pile of crap?

I was going through random sites and came across a site describing the Fallout2 special encounters, The one for the crashed whale read as so:

" Crashed Whale
Remember the two missiles that become a whale and a pot of Daisies from the book "The Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy" by Douglas Adams. You can take the Daisies and give it to Algernon in New Reno. He'll join you. "

The Algernon joining you thing, is that BS...anyone tried it? I know "Flowers For Algernon" is a book or something, but is this true or what? Most likely not, I refuse to even try :-(

That was a rumour and doesn't work. I tried it myself.

RE: Don don don

I read this and then went and tried it with my all mighty fallout team. Its B.S. pure plain and simple. B.S.

RE: Don don don

Flowers for Algernon is a decent book. I can't really call it great because parts of it are VERY depressing, depending on how you think of it. And like 1984 (but not nearly as much), there is a pre-occupation with what humans do best during certain parts of it that aren't exactly vital to the plot. I read it a year ago, so I don't really remember specifics on it, and may have forgotten a few things.
