Is there anything imperative that I need from Bishop or his wife? Cuz I killed them both because after I slept with her I couldnt go back in there without being shot at. And also my NPC's disappeared after i slept with her and now since I killed her I cant get them back can I ?

The only way to prevent the bishop battle is by working for him(get briefcase from Moore in Vault City).

As for your NPC's, it's a bug. Download the patch

Patch doesn't necessarily solve that bug unfortuantely.

Out of interest, has anyone else been given a different case from Moore? The first time I played the game, when I delivered the case to Mr. Bishop he said something about the case and that I was untrustworthy and tried to kill me. Since then, I've never had that problem and the case is delivered fine. Perhaps it's because I wasn't a trusted citizan of Vault City before I talked to Moore or I annoyed him or something. If you use an Item editor, I think you find there are 2 separate entries for the Briefcase, one ok, one not ok.......though I'm not 100% sure. So has anyone else been shot for delivering a dodgy briefcase?
 
Moore's briefcase

The briefcase Moore gives you depends only wether you're doing the delivery for free or not. If you want some compensation, he'll put a note in the briefcase stating that you can't be trusted.
