Bug and Question

If I pass several hours of time (by either worldmap travel, reading books or sleeping) I instantly die. I am in San Fran. I am not radiated or poisoned. Is this a bug or am i missing something?

Also, where can I find the poison in the hypodermic needle?

This happened to me once too. The message window would say I died from radiation sickness. I don't know how to fix it, I'm afraid. When it happened to me I had another save from just moments before and in that one I didn't die. It should be in some old post somewhere. To be precise, it's on the third page of posts and it's called "Killed by radiation (no penguins)". Not much more info there, unfortunately.
