Captain of the VC Guards?

In the most recent addition to the Fallout Bible, it says you can become Captain of the Guards in Vault City. Has anyone managed to get that promotion from Lynette yet? After numerous failed attempts at butt kissing, I ended up burying 30 4.7mm caseless bullets in her. Guess I'll need try again.

It's described in the Westin Holodisk quest in NCR, because it's part of the reward for that quest. You should have found it anyway if you'd just hit Ctrl-F (or something) and searched for "captain" (or something).

According to the FO Bible, you'll need at least 75% speech and greater than 7 charisma.

I finally did it! I became captain of the guards and had an entertaining talk with Sgt. Starks. I butt kissed more than the recommend 15 times, but I couldn't tolerate another failure.
