Chip's stupid spleen

Okay, got the quest, got the spleen....

...did some other quests...

...talked to Wong, arranged the operation, went to tell Chip the good news--!

He's gone!

At least, I think he is.

He's supposed to be standing by Badger's door, right? Has the "old bum" sprite? He ain't there! Did he die on me in the interim? ARgh!

How long do you think he's going to live without his spleen in a dingy tanker which probably crawls with pathogens?
Not long I'd say.

Ah well, I guess that's another quest I mucked up (the other being the "catch human racists" one in Broken Hills). Sorry Chip.

Any idea what happens if you do get him the spleen?

You get some experience and the tanker vagrants act more friendly towards you. Including the captain who you need to talk to get the tanker going.

I wouldn't feel too bad about it - I'm it's a mistake that most people make. It shows a slight flaw in the design as the majority of elements have no time basis and so you come not to think about time as being all important.

Well, he didn't have any problem until AFTER I asked him about his spleen. Maybe I gave him some wasteland disease. Wow, I can kill just by talking. :) That's the second person I've killed with my words. Algernon was the other when I had 3 int or lower.
