couldn't find/load text fonts

Hey you guys,
I played fo2 for a couple of years, but on my new pc with xp, I can't install the game. It says; couldn't find/load text fonts. I asked on tech issues, but got no reply.

Try copying master.dat and critter.dat to your HD, and then go into the Fallout2.cfg and put in the new master_dat and critter_dat values, as it is done but just put in the new paths.

Like from:

master_dat=E:\master.dat

to

master_dat=C:\Fallout2\master.dat

i found that happend to me when i got a new cd drive.

its cuz it cant read the cd.

all i did to fix it was went into the fallout cfg file and changed the drive letter.
