crashed vertibird and toxic caves

do you need the patch to make anything appear on the enclave guards' bodies at the vertibird crash site?

and also is the patch needed to be able to open the elevator in the toxic caves? i've tried with electronic lockpicks mkII and a high lockpick skill and it says it needs an electric device to open.

In the patched version (I thought it was there in the unpatched version too?), you will find a yellow keycard on one of the trooper bodies at the crash site, but it doesn't open anything so I usually don't even bother go get it.

From what I've heard, you can't open the doors with electronic lockpick MARK II in the unpatched version, you'll need the STANDARD electronic lockpicks (or the patched version). In the patched version mark2 el. lockpicks will do just fine.
