Dermal/Phoenix Upgrades?

I finally collected the 40k in cash that I needed for the implant upgrade, but it didnt seem to do anything. I got the upgrade, and everything seemed fine, but my resistances didnt go up for some reason. Without armor, my resistances were still 25% normal (2x toughness) and 5% explode. Shouldn't they go up to 10% with the upgdrade? I tried the phoenix upgrade also, and it didnt work.

Hmmm...., that is weird. Who did you get it from? Did you provide the combat armor? To my knowledge, if you receive the implants in SF, it may not work. There is a bug associated with the surgery.

I got the implants from the doctor near the entrance to SF... sort of across the street from the general store place. I got both of the regular implants, and they upgraded my resistances by 5% each, but the upgrades didnt seem to do anything. Who else can I get the upgrades from besides the doctor in SF?

RE: Dermal/Phoenix Upgrades?

Oops, if that's the case, you better reload and go somewhere else. You need to go to VC, and talk to the doctor in the courtyard.(not the one in the Vault) But, hold it, you need to fix his AutoDoc first. If it's not fixed, you will die from the surgery, and it's(I think, I don't remember) cheaper.

In fact it's better to go to Redding, since Doc Johnson is always cheaper. Not to mention he's a real doctor.
