FO2 Error text fonts

When I instal the game the fallout2.cfg file is not there so I have to create one.

But when I put in:

critter_dat=H:\Games\BlackIsle\Fallout2\critter.dat
critter_patches=H:\Games\BlackIsle\Fallout2\data
master_dat=H:\Games\BlackIsle\Fallout2\master.dat
master_patches=H:\Games\BlackIsle\Fallout2\data

I still get coudn't find\load text fonts.

I don't think the game is fully installing no matter how many times I re-instal the game its the same problem.

I have the GSP White Label collection of the game.

Is the master.dat file in the proper library? If not, move it there manually and you'll notice if you have a bad disc.

Edit: I noticed the paths you quoted are the ones from the troubleshooting sticky. If your drive doesn't happen to be called H: you need to change the paths so they point to your game directory.

I took the mast.dat file and tried to move it over the fallout2 directory and an error appeard. There was a master folder so I deleted that then the master.dat file moved over from the game cd. now my game works.

With regards to the fallout2.cfg I found somewhere online the entire script so I just copied and pasted then changed some words.

Very weird. I'm not sure what's wrong with the cd but FO1 and FOtactics instal fine just not FO2.
