[FO2] Fallout2 High Resolution Patch 1.6

How can your game be patched with unofficial 2.0 and official 1.02? And you have no other problems ingame yet?

Resolution patch should be compatible.
 
I'm about to use those patches, starting a new game in a few minutes. I thought I had to use both those 2 patches, since in the readme for the unofficial patch states:

This patch has been in production for several years now and it fixes well over 800+ bugs left in the game since the official 1.02 patch

Doesn't that mean that it fixes bugs *after* what the official 1.02 patch fixed? :oops:

EDIT: Well I'm going to use the latest official patch, the restoration project and the resolution pack instead only.
 
You just need to install the unofficial patch and everything should be finde, because the unofficial patch was created with the last official patch as basis.
 
Ah, so the unofficial patch and the restoration project? A guy on the FO forums told me to install the official patch and the restoration project :S

EDIT: Ah problem solved.
 
Ah by the way. If you want to play Restoration Project, you also don't need to install the unofficial patch, because the Restoration Project is also based on the unofficial patch. ;)
 
The restoration project already includes the unofficial patch so no need to install both, in fact it may cause problems. Why do no one read the read.me files?
 
Of course I read the readme files. I don't understand everything though, it is in English anyway, a foreign language to me.

Sometimes I need to ask someone else to get a better idea of what I'm reading.
 
Ok, sorry then. It's just that so many don't, like the person who gave you bad advice.
It comes up so often, it gets a bit tiresome, you know. :)
