[FO2] Fellow wastelanders............

Fellow wastelanders............

Have completed FO2 and am near completing FO....so my question is , what game next ? I love RPGs , and have completed such games as Baldur's Gate ( 1 , ToSC and 2..people from those boards might know me as Qellonia ) , Icewind Dale and Torment . I bought Fallout ages ago , got frustrated with it and put it away . Bought Fallout 2 on a whim , became addicted and now , after resurrecting Fallout and changing my mind ...........need a new game . Any suggestions ? Must be able to see the characters on the screen ( poorly put...but you know what I mean ) , have many missions , be linear and give room for chartacter development . The games above should give you a good idea of what I go for...............

Any suggestions gratefully recieved ladies and gentlemen of the wastes...............

Well you could try EverQuest, it's kept me going while waiting for another in the fallout line... Only character development in it is by talking to other real people in the game though. There just aren't a lot of excellent RPG's out there... Have you tried playing FO2 as both an Evil and a Good person? There's a huge difference... If you don't mind playing some really old games, most of the old SSI gold box stuff is pretty good, and one of my favorites outside of the D&D franchise is Daggerfall.

thanks .. will look out for Everquest and Daggerfall . Will also try FO2 as evil person.....always play goody-2-shoes so it will be a different approach .

My bug for RPGs started with a game called Hex , I think by Gremlin ( who also produced all my favourites for my old Spectrum in days of yore such as the Monty Mole series ) ... i don't suppose anyone remembers that one now .

I'm only 15 and i used to play Monty on the run when i was young, on a commodore 64
also had loads of other games like frantic freddy, dangerous dan, Last Ninja, Last V8, Miami Vice, Wizball the whole kit and kaboodle :)

Another good oldie-moldie for you to check out is Darklands by Microprose. Its pretty long in the tooth so graphics are primitive to say the least but the game more than makes up for it. A group recently bought the rights off Microprose and are selling it for $19.99 a CD *cough* but there are still copies floating around on the web. Try the abandonware search page at
