Flying Vertibirds

Right, simple question...there is an obvious path from Navarro to the oil rig. now here is the question, can you fly a vertibird to the oil rig from Navarro, if so how.

oh yeah at Navarro, in the underground part of the base there is a guy standing by the lockers where you get the power armor, he tells me he is busy and to come, back. so when am i suppossed to come back and what is the point

oh yeah and what is the point of the communications room, any certain thing i might have to do?

Oh God whose name is Shadowman, i await your wisdom

RE: Flying Vertibirds

Aight, firstly no you can't fly the vertibird (I really wish you could, save you the whole Navcom parts and cleaning out the tanker basement parts).

Secondly, the dude doesn't do anything, ignore him he's insignificant (short side he's probably the only other person besides the base commander in the lower level of Navarro who wears power armor, the rest are all combat armor :)

FINALLY, comm room serves no purpose, just atmosphere.

Only things in Navarro to do are:
Get vertibird plans
Get tanker FOB (hehe fob, what a funny word).
Get the cyberdog
Free the deathclaw (I heard you can recruit him but usually I ended up killing him for the doctor or setting him free and letting him leave).
Get Advanced Power Armor.

You know what's weird, Power Armor is sooo useless in Fallout 2 (I mean standard BOS model power armor), you can get it hardened for 10000 but it's still not as good as the Advanced power armor you can find for free in Navarro! what gives?!

RE: Flying Vertibirds

And you don't have to pay if you've got good speech. It's good if you're not strong enough to make it to Navarro.
Also, did you notice that if you spell fob backwards, it says bof?

Ehrhr... And if you spell Paris, it says Sirap. So whats your point. Or am I missing something very funny here??

RE: Flying Vertibirds

Well.. you can always steel the 10000 back from him :) 's what I did. And yeah its good for your NPCs.. though I havent gotten to the oil rig yet, i hear theres better NPCs there.. oh well

RE: Flying Vertibirds

Bah, all the NPCs suck, Myrons a pussy, Vic is a pussy, Sulik is a pus-- useless, Marcus is decent but he walks too damn slow so half the time you're in a fight and he's like 50 squares behind, the dogs are good, Skynet is alright, Cassidy is a bitch who can't take his drugs (but he's not bad with a shotgun). Finally, Dogmeat is...fairly useless (hehe he is in FO1 too, he got flamethrowered EVERY game I played, didn't bother reloading since he's kind of a wuss). Goris is awesome (but his animation takes too damn long where he throws off his cloak, looks awesome but kind of slow). You know what they need? a female Power armored NPC! (well....ANY female NPC, they only had one in Fo1 (not including Tandi).

Besides, who cares about NPC armor, they can't do shit in Navarro anyway, or Enclave (sure help you with horrigan but that's what the turrets and granite are for >=):

As for the whole FOB backwards thing, hehe Bof, as in to have sex hehe (yeah I know that's Boff but close enough)...remember stressed backwards is Desserts, and Radar is the same backwards :)
