FO2 Help! People turning invisible in Vault City

When I was last playing fallout 2 (v 1.02 UK) I lefr Vault City for visiting the Raiders Base. When I came back, the whole thing was screwed. All the people you could talk (initiate a dialogue) to in the Inner City map and in the actual vault had turned invisible (eg Valerie, the doctor, nurse, and the suitcase man)! Although I can't see them, they're still there: their monologues (texts on the game screen) still appear. What I can do? Has someone experienced the same problem? How I can get those people back? I know they're still there, but I'm not able to talk to them..aarrgggh.

That sounds like the kids bug, where the kids aren't there but you can still hear their voices.

Did you get the kid patch?

If so, I don't know how to help you, Per is the resident librarian/smartmouth, and he does have the UK version, so try him.

Where are you, Per? :)

The only "logical" explanation I can think of is that you're playing with a full install and some fiend accidentally deleted all the critter files, which I suppose would cause the same effect as the invisible kids, but if the bug is confined to VC... I have no idea.

Well, since the resident smartmouth has declared - no idea, I guess it's back to the old stand by. :D

Copy your saved games, and re-install the game, in big mode, instead of humog. mode, and just let the computer take the pics file from the CD.
