Goo covered computer

[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON May-21-02 AT 08:07AM (GMT)[p]I've heard that there should be a computer terminal that you should be able to find in the Modoc molerat cave but were?

RE: Goo covered computer

its in the outhouse, near the guy who gets framed for stealing his friends watch. or just right of the saloon place.

RE: Goo covered computer

Sorry but I can't find anything either if I search above the ground. Just the outhouse (were you climb down) and a wooden table. Maybe it is located were all the goo lies around(down in the molerat cave?

RE: Goo covered computer

As part of the resident smartmouth committee :)(Per, JR, and me. Most other veterans don't post that much), I am obligated to tell you -

it's down the outhouse, inside the molerat's cave where you find the gold watch. It's on the wall near the bottom-right of the entrance. Just right click and try to "see" it, you'll find it soon enough.

There are even three of them, two on the right wall section and one on the left of the rubble.

Wasn't it five no four

Just testing you guys:p

RE: Goo covered computer

Hey, I see that Per is back, how is the search for the perfect walkthrough going? :)

They are just results of the reused map files from FO1. From the Master's base, I believe.

It goes rather well. There should be nothing of any importance missing now, and I even got some help with detailed info from the decompiled scripts. Revamped the endings sections, for instance, so that it contains several endings that are not in white's FAQ (did anyone know you can get the "sentient plant attacks Shi" ending for SF? :)) and correct descriptions of how to get all the other ones. A "finished" version should hopefully be done in a few weeks. Here's some not-so-well-known stuff to whet your appetite:

Arroyo: "Cameron at the top of the map will give you +10% Unarmed and +10% Melee Weapons, but only if you tagged none of the five combat skills (if you're proficient with Big Guns he apparently thinks you're ready to face the horrors of the wasteland). Obviously you should get Lucas' bonus first in this case."

New Reno: "Before destroying the stills, you can use a Scorpion Tail on them if you want. What happens? Well, Orville Wright will mention it if you become a Made Man of the Wrights and ask him what's up. Also junkies and addicts across town will fall over dead as time passes... including Father Tully!"

SAD: "If you want some xp, you can go around using Repair on each of the dormant bots. You'll gain either 200 xp (if you get the message "You seem to have disabled the robot") or 75 xp (if you get the message "You seem to have repaired the robot completely"). This goes for all the bots on levels 2-4. Sometimes, it seems, this can also produce freak messages from other parts of the game. The "disabled" bots will still fight you if it comes to that."

Vault City: "If you become Captain of the guards, you can bring Lenny and Marcus here without Dr Troy entering combat mode. If you let him heal Marcus, you end up with some extra ammo: 20 7.62mm, 50 5mm JHP, 20 9mm ball, 24 10mm JHP, 10 .45 caliber, 40 .44 Magnum JHP, 40 .44 magnum FMJ and 50 .233 FMJ!" (And if anyone wonders, this did not come from Chris Avellone.)

Broken Hills: "To get into the basement with her permission, go to Phil's place, buy stuff and keep tipping him until he reveals the secret of the weapons cache. Return to Liz, ask about the weapons and tell her you heard about them from a reliable source. Then tell her you'll use the weapons on the mutants and she'll let you take them."

Of course, someone's going to say they already knew all that. :P

Ok, just kidding, but here is the low down:

Arroyo: "Cameron at the top of the map will give you +10% Unarmed and +10% Melee Weapons, but only if you tagged none of the five combat skills (if you're proficient with Big Guns he apparently thinks you're ready to face the horrors of the wasteland). This is already known fairly well, but like I said it's not something huge to talk about between the guys.

Heard of it as a rumour or such, never knew if anyone knew or tested it. Great!! This is maybe a new FO discovery!!! :D So it gets you the second key to the club's second floor. :p You now have access to standard issues like combat armor, plasma pistol, sniper rifle, basic training, and advanced medical procedures. :D

SAD: "If you want some xp, you can go around using Repair on each of the dormant bots. You'll gain either 200 xp (if you get the message "You seem to have disabled the robot") or 75 xp (if you get the message "You seem to have repaired the robot completely"). This is well known between some of the old geezers, but most of the time we don't even bother to do it because the xp isn't really that good. It's kinda of a hassle. At first I thought I can get the Skynet part by doing this though. ;-)

This is interesting, because I can't recall anything in relation to this. This is maybe a true discovery!! You now have access to the third floor where you'll be issued standard powered armor/hardened powered armor, plasma rifles, bozars, and gatling guns, and also the weapons testing range, reaserch labs, and databases, and skills class. And depenting on the review of the council, you may have access to the underground levels of the club base. :P:D

Broken Hills: "To get into the basement with her permission, go to Phil's place, buy stuff and keep tipping him until he reveals the secret of the weapons cache. Return to Liz, ask about the weapons and tell her you heard about them from a reliable source. Then tell her you'll use the weapons on the mutants and she'll let you take them.

Sorry, but another little tibits that don't get mentioned very often.

But I must applaud your effort here! You are rising through the ranks too fast here, and some old geezers are getting worried! :D;) Don't worry, I'll be your sponsor, and I'll smooth the whole thing out with the council. I'll make sure you make it all right. :):D;-):P

*LOL*

There is no need to shh......, because there are at least several FO cults around. One of the most famous is the UV board. This actually goes way back when the FO fan base is just starting to grow. Most people are afraid of the UV, but it's actually a great place to hang, esp. since there is a better balanced percentage of sexs, cultures, and opinions. But, of course some of the veterans here will tell you, "Be afraid, be very, very afraid, because only dreamers need to apply."

*LOL*
