How Do I Whack out Westin ?

I just spoke to Bishop in New Reno, hes asked me to Kill Westin ? How do I do it without shootin him ? also how does it affect yuor Karma ? does it make you Evil or Good ?

I usually take one of these 2 ways...Either kill him using poison (red syringe) found in the bookcase at the doctor's place (dunno which one's, though - there are two of them), or the super-stim method.
You may have trouble with taking the poison from the shelves as doc. makes you put them back - so you can grab the poison (+ the heart pills I think) exit the "taking" screen, then quickly press "i" for inventory, drop the poison and then pick it up from the floor - doctor won't say anything then.
Your karma goes down f'course but not so greatly to start worrying.

The super stim method can't be used on Westin; if you try it, you'll notice why. Well, Westin does die (and it's funny so it should be seen), but Bishop will not be happy about it...

Even simpler, drop them from the same interface where you take them from the shelves. Drag them to your inventory then use the drop function, and the doctor will never know they left the shelf.

It must be too crazy for anyone but me to think of, but it works!
All you have to do is plant some dynimite on Westin and get down.
Same method works on the vice presedent if you don't want to alert the guards. You should save before you do it, the game might crash.

What on earth makes you think that you're the only one who thought of using Dynamite for assassinations?

Unless (I realized) you meant that this still counts as death by "natural causes", which is what Bishop wants you to simulate. Was that it? I thought that for that you had to induce a heart attack, which means using the Poison, Buffout, Psycho or Jet on Westin. If you blow him up with Dynamite I doubt that sheriff Dumont will say it was a heart attack, but I haven't tried, so...?

Well, I don't do drugs and i don't have them in my inventory, so when I got the Whack Westin mission I never thought of drugs. All I had to guide me was the No Bullet In His Head. So I used dynmite. And it worked. Bishop gave me the next mission, I did it in the same way, and now i'm a Made Men.

If you do the Poison thing, he says something about the autopsy results being very clear-cut, i.e. no one doubts that it was a natural death. I just thought it would be funny if he says the same thing after Westin was blown up with Dynamite.

Well The Dynamite could work on the theory of Spontaneous Human Combustion in which Westin began to produce Nitroglycerine within his blood stream and the chemical compounds which were within his body overheated thus causing a Combustion....

Or that he was just blown to pieces by Dynamite.... LOL

how do i get there first??

yea it's all good but i couldnt even get in his place.
His gaurd says im not allow to chat and my character keeps saying he needs to chat to Westin (and no it's not a stupid character...9 Intelligence). So if u can get me in his place i'd be more then happy to try the dynamite thing on him..... the fact that i lost my poison has nothing to do with it!!

talk to the sherriff on the corner by the building west of the police building. Ask him about work and he'll tell you about westin's ranch. Then, when you're talking to westin's guard say you're there about work. The sherriff looks exactly like all the other cops btw so just look for a different description.

and every time i try to blow someone up (set the timer for 1:00, plant it on them using steal, and run), whenever it blows them up i get a kernel32.dll error and the game closes. Oh well. I guess im stuck with super stims :P

I seem to recall that if you uncover the NCR/Raiders plot and go to Vault City with the information, you eventually have another "in" to go and see Westin.

On a tangent, I found out yesterday that if you get the gate guard to open the gate, then kill him (before walking into Westin's ranch), nobody seems to mind. The NCR police do nothing, and you can just mosey on into the ranch like nothing happened. Wierd...

Have you tried leaving the whole section all together, then come back?

Still, I wish Myron can make as many posion as I want, so I can assainate anybody without suspection.

Anyone ever tried to sting someone with scorpion tail and get away with it?
