[FO2] I got some wierd problems...

I got some wierd problems...

I've got three problems with the game...

1. I cant get Gorris to join my team. When I first meet him he said that I had to much people in my group so I left him in Vault 13. Then after I've been to Navarro I go back cause I picked the perk "magnetic personality" so I can have him in my team. It's here the wierd things start, I tell him that he can join my team and he does but the second I close the dialog box he says he has to get back and protect his "hord" or something, so I let him go, then I talk to him again telling him to join me and he says something like "lead on" but he dont follow me, so I talk to him again and he has the same answer "lead on" but again he doesnt follow me. What is wrong with me???

2. When I talk to Myron my computer seems to hangup or at least go slow as hell, I dont hear what he says cause there is no sound and his head dont move. Again what's wrong with me???

3. After I've been in Sierra Army depot and gotten the robot I cant enter any towns, everytime I try my computer stops and there is some wierd sounds. For the 3rd time what is wrong with me???


Im playing the UK version with the "child patch" and the 1.02 UK and US patch (US needed to get the children).

I hope I gave enough information about the problem

Umm.. could you clear that patch thing out a bit? The way I understand that, you've applied *both* the US patch AND the UK patch. Am i right? Because if I am, then that's your problem.

I'm playing the UK version of the game and there is no children on that one and I wanted to have the 1.02 version of the game cause it's all buggy and sh*t otherwise...
So I downloaded the UK 1.02 file and "updated" my game, but then I noticed that I could get the children by downloading another file and I did. When I had installed that one it said in the "read me-text" that I needed the some .exe file from the US patch to work so I downloaded that one to and "updated" my game. The game was great asusuall until I got to the "Gorris-part" and then it got all wierd as I discribed in the other post.

I hope this one clear out the ??? that you had about my other post

By the way is the msg-board slow for you too??? Cause it takes like 5 minutes to load this page for me.

I've used the Kid patch on my UK version many a time, and I don't have any problems. I think your problem is having both patches installed. Interplay made different patches for a reason. They have different stuff in, and are probably incompatible. So I'm afraid the best course of action here is to reinstall it, and next time only use the US patch. I always install the kids, then patch it with the US version, and my game is finer than a very fine thing indeed.
