I'm dumping my items.........(help)

(e.g. quest items, food, ect) and the the little black box over the skilldex button thing happend to me and well I was in San Fran, everything went wronge (Like a back hit of jet.) And so now I've resarted the game made a new and better caracter (I'm going to be a assasin mom) and thanx to some help from Per's walkthrough I've decided now not to take every little thing with me. Here's my questions:

Q: After I cleared out trapper town of the rats I've tossed the key the guy give me (IN the middel of the wasteland) will I need the key for anything else??

Q: and can you tell me some item I can do this with??? (I know I'll do it with the dog tags from the raiders, the umptey jet can, the note from broken hills)

That key only unlocks that door, I believe.

Examine each item. The dog tags will help with the Raider's safe, the jet cannister can help you find out who killed Richard and the note will tell you who's responsible dumping the bodies. You can toss those items afterwards.

yea, that key does nothing else. also, about the black box button thing, thats just a glitch. it goes away. just dump some stuff (if you still have that char). also, it seems to happen more in SF than anywhere else.

Dear Cosmos-

I had noticed that the black box shows up more in SF than anywhere else. But isn't that because by the time you get to SF you are carrying a lot of stuff, or is this just a bug in the system?

It's because of the items. In the games I've played after I became aware of the too many items bug I've never got the black skilldex button/pipboy sleep button).
