Little johnny quest?

He won't talk about his missing boy.
Do I need a good PE stat to be able to get it? (I have PE 4)
I have solved the ghost farm quest, the gold watch, cleared the garden. So I should be liked enough around Modoc. (I took the money down in the well, does that have an adverse effect?)

Any clues?

Yep, you do need good perception. You'll notice (no pun intended) that with good perception you notice that something is bothering him. Ask him about that. He'll either tell you about his missing boy or tell you it's none of your business (you'll need to be pretty evil for him not to want your help).
