looking for the 9mm HK p90c

Does anyone know where this gun is? Going through Per's guide, it says that on level 2 of Vault 15 there is a special 9mm HK P90c loaded with 9mm. After going through both lockers in the upper left room and killing all the bad guys, I can't seem to find this weapon. Any thoughts?

Also does anyone know the difference between the effect of 9mm and 10mm ammo?

It should be on one of the bad guys. One thing that often happens on this level is that everyone comes running and crowds around you by the elevator, and afterwards their bodies lie sprawled on top of each other so you have to go pixel searching to collect all the loot. Either try that, or leave the place for a few days so the bodies disappear. If that doesn't reveal anything, leave for a month or so and the pools of blood will disappear as well.

Just examine them and check the different modifiers. 10mm AP has a 2/1 damage multiplier, while I think the "good" 9mm variety has none, and the "bad" 9mm plain sucks.

Is it possible that this gun turns up as a random variable when dealing with these particular badguys. I notice that they are pretty well stocked when compared to others in the game.

Also I am curious about the meeting in the desert from New Reno. I did the bit with the Wright kids first and (give them a gun and they take you to watch the meeting) but then the Salvatores wouldn't allow me to be a "made man." But if I did the Salvatores first then the Wright kids would probably not speak with me, yes? What is the answer to this problem?

You should be able to do the quest first then talk to the kids. From the guide:

"If you already did quest 6 you may not get the 1500 xp, but if you're up to it you can get more kill xp than that out of this encounter."

I.e. do the quest and watch, then go with the kids and fight. Also you should be able to go with the Wrights and watch, then do the quest:

"You can do this quest and get the 1500 xp from following the Wright kids to see the transaction, if you go with the Wrights first."

I wrote this after exploring several combinations of following and fighting and watching, so it is possible, but there could be other variables involved (e.g. have you always been properly obsequious to Salvatore?). I'm not sure if I ever tried doing the quest and fight then going with the kids (if possible) and fight, but fighting during the quest spoils your chances of being a Made Man anyway.

I always found that gun on the third level of that vault on one of the guards. Not the second level. That might be one of the few things you got wrong.

I think I remember clearly finding it on level 2 - I was writing the guide continuously as I was playing, more or less - but I'll check that again. Of course, if you're sure about finding it on level 3 I'll have to add a qualifier anyway.

The P90c is on the third floor on the bad gay who is standing at the end of the long vertical hall from the elevator. I know this cause he is allways the first to shoot at me. I do not see anthing special about this p90c over any other one of it's kind. Once you load 10mm in it you cannot reload with the 9mm. It is a kickass gun though. I play with it tell the end.

Sorry, Per, I am going to have to agree with JR here, I have always find in on the 3 level. It should be the guy standing in the hallway near the stock room. It may have to do with the different versions?

The evidence seems overwhelming, and I don't really believe in differences between different versions. I'll go there and kick their butts and sort out their guns to make sure.

If you have power armor on the kids will tell you about the meeting and you don't have to give them a gun.

An even easier way not to have to give them a gun is not to carry a gun.
