Is it possible to finish all of New Reno family (any) quests, report to the boss...and NOT to become a made man without a gunfight ?

As far as I remember, you can do all the quests for all the families, but if you go back to any one family after their last quest, they'll "make" you. So, choose which you want to be made by.
