Fo2 Mapper Crashing while trying to move map.

Bloodlust

Look, Ma! Two Heads!
Specifications: Amd Athlon Xp 2800+,Asus A7N8X-DELUXE,1 Gb RAM Corsair Value,Radeon 9600pro.
Win XP:SP1
Fo2 UK version with the official patch and using the official mapper.

I don't think that the specifications of my computer have anything to do with this bug since I tried it on my laptop and on the pc of a friend with the same results, but i included them anyway, just in case.

My problem is that the mapper crashes when I try to move a specific lvl that i am working right now.In the same map file,I have two lvls.Lvl 1 is finished while lvl 2 is under construction.I've run out of space while mapping,so I try to shift Level 2 a few tiles north but the mapper crashes instantly.
Note:The problem uppears only in lvl2.If I try to shift lvl 1 or ANY other level in any other map file,it works just fine.
Anyone has an idea what's causing this or how to fix it?
If you need me to post any more information, just ask.

i've been away and dropped in for a look..
thought i'd drop an answer, albeit a late one, to your problem..

it's a little long winded, and only a theory since i don't have F2 installed right now..

what you need to so is copy your map, and then move the problem level to the first level of your map ( blank level 1 and then copy level 2 to it, then blank level 2.. ) .
move level 1 the few squares you need.
now copy level 1 back to level 2 and blank level 1.

On the original map, blank level 2 and save it..

now just merge the 2 maps using the tutorials found here or on my site ..

job done, problem solved.. i hope...

alternatively,if you have a blank 3rd level, you could copy level 1 to level 3, then level 2 to level 1, move it the few tiles, and then copy it back to level 2, and level 3 back to level 1.. rebembering to blank the unwanted 3rd level..
