Marcus's missing folk

Ok, in Broken Hills Marcus will join you if you do a few things for him. One: Fix the air purifier in the mine. Done. Then he asks me to find some people for him. He give me absolutely *no* clue as to who they are or where they might be found. Not even a name. Where can I find these person(s) and is that all it takes to get Marcus to join me?

Check the area around the mine. If you find (or already found) a talking plant, you can find a manhole closeby.

If you can't find it there, there is also another manhole in the residential district of town. It is in the bathroom at the bottom of that half of the town.
