FO2 mods on WinME

Im posting this for a guy that only has hotmail, and therefore cant register.
If anything is flame worthy, flame him not me, since i dont know a damned thing bout ME and just wanted to help.

I'm having a problem getting mods to work on my windows Me crap box. I know how to set read only but not how to write protect and I trashed my help files accidentally a while back. The option to turn off simple file sharing doesn't appear on my menu, at least not where it should. Does anyone else use windows Me? And can you give me simple directions to make it so I can use the 1.05 patch. I've installed it more than once but it seems to become a normal game the first time I reload. Thanks everyone. you can send a mail to the admins to request registration, but you cant use the automatic registration thingy
