FO2 music question and world map question

Makatak

First time out of the vault
As soon as I launched Fallout 2, I noticed no music. I quickly discovered that the music files weren't copied over from the FO Collection DVD, so I copied them over manually. Things were going good but then I noticed that the world map had a different soundtrack from FO1 world map (the music file called 23world.ACM) and when I entered Klamath, I was hearing the same music that plays in FO1 world map (03wrldmp.acm) was this a mixup or is it intentional?

Also, my little dot on the world map moves very very fast when I click on a location. How can I slow it down? I'm running Core 2 Duo e6600, Geforce 8800GTS, 2gb ram. Never had this quirk in FO1.

I can't help you with the music problem, I have never encountered that and it sounds utterly bizarre.
However, the ridiculously fast travel speed can be fixed with Killap's patch (among other things). The problem is that the map screen breaks the FPS limit for whatever reason and causes it to move at hyper speed.

You can find Killap's patch here:

Simply choose which installation you wish if you choose to try it out, be warned though, pre-Killap saves will not function any longer, the problems it fixes makes it worth starting over though.

I don't know the music well enough to really give you any real information, just that I don't think Klamath has the same music as the FO1 world map.
I may be entirely incorrect though, let me go check.

EDIT: Yep, there's no problem, Klamath uses the same music as FO1's world map, there are a few songs reused in Fallout 2.
