Navarro

Per, I am not sure if you are reading this, but when I tried to get into Navarro through the tunnel under the shed, the guards picked up on it pretty fast. I think the Cassidy bug isn't quite working, or did I trigger something?

Also, I am planning to do destroy the camp with my NPCs. Any thoughts about taking out the turrets and the heavy armored guards? Would the rocket launcher with armor piercing work better than Bozar or sniper? Lazer rifle?

RE: Navarro

Well, since Per isn't answering, I guess I'll play the resident smartmouth for a bit. :D

Did you have your ADP on? If you do, you shouldn't have a problem. It's actually better to walk to the base, get the password, leave NPC parked at the gas pump, take everything you greedy little hearts desires through the main gate, stealing everyone's laser/rifle/plasma guns, take the fob, release the Deathclaw, lied to get the papers, hurry back to SF to sell all of your excess, and trek back to the base, then kill as many as you want.

For combat, use the floor elevators for quick escapes to refresh when things get hot, and so they can't gang up on you, and if you stole their guns from the first trip, only the guards will have firearms to shoot you, which makes them easy prey. As for the turrets, pick a long-ranged weapon that you can aim with, dock behind a building, one step out to shoot, another to get back to your cover so it can't hit back.

Hope that helps. :D

Well, I know the guy by the Commander's office is immune to the beguiling effects of the Cassidy bug, so it wouldn't be too surprising if others are, too. If you came the back way then "Snookie" would be the first guard you meet, who has in common with the other guy the fact that she has dialogue (however limited) and isn't just a generic guard. It may not be the explanation, but it might. Erm.

RE: Navarro

You might even try to give your NPCs a combat armor. In the unpached version none noticed them when they weared it. However it was the unpachted version...

RE: Navarro

Thanks for all your thoughts-

Actually its been awhile since I did this but I think Cassidy bug got triggered after going through the tunnel at the gas station and coming up with Cassidy in power armor.

No biggie, Now its off to clean up the Enclave, then to Tactics

cheers

I've been told that this happens because the Navarro people scripts check for the presence of each NPC individually, and Cassidy (and Robodog) is missing from the "list". Except, it seems, in the script of that vigilant guy by the Commander's office. So you can bring Cassidy in any kind of armour.

RE: Navarro

You can bring down other NPCs to (like Miria and Dogmeat). However you have to sneak by the guy near the commandor office.
