NCR bomb police

Need some help in the NCR. You are supposed to be able to talk the crazy guard out of blowing himself up, but how?

You need a pretty high speech skill. The best way is to get Empathy and let it be your guide.

Just try the different speech options. I don't think you need a particularly high speech skill, so save beforehand and try out the different combinations. The answer might not be exactly intuitive at first.

110% Speech, 6 CHA, and 9 INT owns :).. Thats what my "normal" characters always have, and im able to do that quest every time with em. It matters mostly on your speech/CHA but i think it also has to do with INT.. experiment around with the speech options and reload when something bad happens. I'd say you'd probably need at least 80% Speech and 5 CHA

Its not TOO tough to get through. But you do need above 50% speech or at least High int (i've pulled it off with low speech I think).

Anyway, if you get only the "uh, stop" dialog, you really need more speech.

Anyway heres the order as best as I can remember:
"Don't do this jack..."
"I don't know crap about your problems"
"Who the hell is Miria"
"Then let the law deal with her, not this way"
"If you go this way, everyone will say "Jack took the weak way out" is that waht you want them to think"
"Of course, it's the truth"

basically this consists of something like 1-2-1-1-2. The point is, if you can get the dialog options just save beforehand and try until you get it.

Wrong. You can convince him even with 2 CH.
