Purple PIP hat
First time out of the vault
It would not surprise me if this question has been asked already. And I hate to waste anybody's time by asking again, so... If it has been answered before I would be happy enough with a link to an earlier thread. As I am still stuck with 56K it could take *several* hours to do a decent search of the forum.
Anyway, to the point. As many times as I have played through FO2, the car always gets stolen in New Reno, and I always go and talk to the operator of the chop shop. 9 times out of 10 I talk him into giving back the car, and I always pay for the upgrades... the other 10% I have a low speech skill and a high 'negotiation' (minigun-ahem) skill. heh. But the question I come across... All these upgrades I pay him for.. I never see a change in the car, no matter how long I wait to go get it. Do the upgrades ever happen? And if they do is there a visible change, or will it just hold more?
A second question that just came to mind. Also regarding the car. In the camp outside of -??- (I havent played in a while, forgive me for not remembering the town) The man in the robe ways he has a blower for your car. He gives it some corny name, you buy it, he says come back in a couple days... Several game-weeks later, he is still saying "A little more time". Is this a real deal, or just a great way to blow my caps and frustrate myself?
Thx for your replies
