No more lurking, San Fransico problem

Hello all, decided to fire up this awesome game again and have found alot of useful intel on this site. However a problem I encountered the first couple of games I played has me stumped. In New Reno the boxing matches usually fry the game after a few bouts. I had played before and after the US patch release and it still happens. Now I got a problem I never had before in Frisco. During the fights if I knock out cold one opponent(sp) I wait and wait, another match starts and I end up fighting two guys. Its happen a few times and I thought to use the pip boy to advance time see if the guy got up. Nope. If I can get thru that then there is the match against the other faction leader
Lo Pan in this case, he pulls a gun and I pummel him. Yeah I win. But then thats it, the game leaves me in the stupid ring and theres no way out. I even went back to an earlier save game and its happens everytime. Bugged?

Ouch, sounds nasty. Sounds like you're going to have to kill those guys. Use called punches and aim for the eyes.

RE: No more lurking, San Fransico problem

His problem is that he's stuck in the ring after defeating all of his opponents. That has happened to be before too. The only thing to do is reload the game from before challenging Lo Pan.

I killed Dragon instead of Lo Pan, since the Shi are eeeviil. Indeed. They react better to negative karma chars. They keep telling my positive karma avatar that he looks like a Hubologist. Hummphf!

RE: No more lurking, San Fransico problem

They think you're a Hubologist because you're not oriental. It's prejudice pure and simple.

Not necessarily prejudice

If you've got negative karma, they ask if you're on their side and ask for you help against Dragon. If you kill Lo Pan, the Shi will mourn his loss, but if you kill Dragon, they celebrate. If you have neutral karma, they tell you not to hurt those in the red shirt. The red shirts, I assume, are on Lo Pan's side.

It's rather odd, that killing either Lo Pan or Dragon doesn't affect the ending at all. I usually kill Dragon, because I'm Eeeviill! Indeeeed!

RE: No more lurking, San Fransico problem

I find when fighting Lo Pan's men, that they do tend to get stuck in the ring, sometimes after just one hit. Which can leave you with 2 guys with nearly full health to attack. That's why I always try to cripple their legs with kicks. That way, if they lose the bout but stay in the ring, they won't interfere because they're injured. Alternatively, just play with them, try to get them hurt, but not too much as they'll lose, then hit them in eyes and kill them. I can't see why it's making you get stuck during the final challenge. Have you killed Lo Pan before he resorts to the gun? Keep trying different tactics on him. Otherwise ignore the final bout as it doesn't affect the ending.

Don't forget you can challenge both Lo Pan's and the Dragon's men for loads of exp but sadly, you can only kill one of the leaders.

Ok, didnt recall if it had anything to do with the ending so I guess I'll skip this part. Thanks folks.
