Problem with Vic

I am having a problem with Vic. I am playing with the female character and after I have defeated Metzger, Vic, won't do nothing. He won't talk to me except he says that he has had enough, he won't follow me except when I step on an Exit grid but he is now useless to me and I have no clue what to do. My big problem is he is waving his gun around and I know that I can't enter NCR later or have to shoot it out. Does somebody know what I can do and why is he acting this way?

I've never had this problem, so I don't know. oO; Maybe you accidentally shot him or something? If not, then I have no idea.. Just guessing. e.e

I don't think shooting him would be the problem as I have to hit him out of doorways every now and then to get him to move so I can get through the door.

Men, in the post apocolyptic era, has become acustomed to being struck with a blunt object by women. Wives cracking their husbands over the head with a frying pan all the time. They know when a woman bludgeon them, it's just to get their attention. I'm just kidding. I really don't know why Vic is acting that way. He always toadying and calling me "Boss."

I had the same problem with the same characteristics in my game. I only noticed when I hit Modoc and I think I might have missed a shot when I was killing the wolves for Grisham and hit Vic accidentally. The 1.02d patch supposedly *fixes* the friendly-fire situation but it looks like our friends at BIS pulled one over us...AGAIN. What I am trying to tell you is that its probably a bug and thus you will have to shoot or get rid (sell him in Vault City to recover some money) of Vic like I did. I have had a much worse bug that has made me quit 2 Fallout 2 games. If you plant an active Dynamite or Plastic Explosive on somebody and then save and then load the game...the game engine will simply report a loading error each time you try to load your save, effectively screwing you up (since you will have to start over...AGAIN) because your save is basically lost.

Vic can be annoying. If you haven't shot him or done something to upset him, it may be, but highly unlikely, that he's just got a wounded limb and refuses to do much. Examine him and use your doctor's bag. It probably won't be the case, but always worth trying. Especially if the NPC refuses to fight. Are you using the patch?

Also are you a slaver? I can't get him to follow me when I'm one. He says he'll join but never does. Though he doesn't follow me ever so again, that's probably not the case.
