Question about knives

Hmm...What exactly is the difference between using swing and thrust? This has been plaguing me for some time, now.

RE: Question about knives

Usualy thrusting does more damage and knocks your opponent back.
So if you have awareness perk and your fighting multipal opponents and you have a weakened foe near you ,a swing attack will probably dispatch them saving you valuable action points.

Yup.

I'd say Nekron there explained it pretty well...

And besides... I'ts nice to have multiple options... ;P

RE: Yup.

Huh...makes sense. Interplay should have REALLY wrote something about this in the manual. And if thrust does more damage...why are they both 3 AP?

RE: Yup.

What're you talking about? I looked at my super sledgehammer. Swing is 3AP and Thrust is 4AP... silly...

No he's not "silly" hes correct.Knives have the same action points for thrust and swing.I thought differently in my earlier post until I checked it out.

RE: Yup.

I believe thrust is more armor piercing, but lower chance to hit.

RE: Yup.

I read somewhere that there is no differance and they were juts put in for the fun of it but i don't know how much truth there is in that. If Blackisle had deadlines to meet then why would they add pointless things and still not complete the dud reactor room
