Quick and Easy Start

Leave Arroyo and head for San Francisco. Accept the quest to get vertibird plans. Goto Navarro, get tons of guns and armor from the armory (and Avanced Power Armor, +4 strength!), then get the FOB, repair K-9, and head back to San Francisco. You'll get 20K exp for getting the plans. Then go into the basement anduse your Charisma Memory Module you got from the armory in Navarro. Now go give your plans to that guy, Ken Lee I think, and he'll say to give them to Dr. Wong. Now, from selling your junk you got from Navarro and BoS basement, you should get up to 15000-20000. Use this money to complete Chip's Spleen quest and get a Guass Rifle w/ 100 bullets from the guy in the east side of San Fran main road. My now, I was level 9. Now goto the tanker and steal the stuff off the people and get some books and money from the merchants. Now you got several spare guns, tons of 4.7mm caseless, and you're off to kick some ass.

Go back to Klamath and the Den and kill everything unarmed... hey, your high level and Advanced Power Armor will save you!

The charector I used for this was:

ST 5 + 4 (armor)
PE 7
EN 4
CH 6 + 1 (module)
IN 9
AG 8
LK 8

Well, I just started this charector a few hours ago, so I don't have much done. Also, I picked Awareness, More Criticals, and Better Criticals... I'm a gunman... sorta...

Also, I did NOT choose fast shot. Instead, I chose finesse. Yikes, 8luck + 10finesse + 5perk... thats 23% critical chance! Whenever I hit in the eyes, I tend to get critical shots almost all the time.

I read about this "fast" way of playing the game from some website... might've been this one, but I doubt it.

RE: Quick and Easy Start

It makes the game unfun though. There's no challenge in it at all if you do that. Anyway, you should try and go straight to the enclave instead of going back to Klamath and all that. You'd just have to go off to Vault 13 to get the Navcom parts, and then go off to the Enclave. See how quickly you can finish the game or the lowest level you can finish the game on... oh well.

RE: Quick and Easy Start

Who cares if it isn't a challenge. As long as Im not using any cheats or hacks, Im doing it!

Besides, I've already beaten the game the "normal" way.

And its impossible to beat the Enclave. Even at level 22, I had trouble fighting. I had to save and reload almost every turn in the barracks.

RE: Quick and Easy Start

I just finished the game for the first time and I didn't face any fighting in the Barracks at the Enclave, just Frank Horrigan.

RE: Quick and Easy Start

Huh? But after you disable the power, the only way out is through the barracks cuz all the other doors are locked... and its an unpicklockable lock. And when you through the barracks they all fight you, so its IMPOSSIBLE to get through.

I was afraid of the place exploding before I got out the barracks, so I killed the barracks, went back to the main room, then went through and disabled the power.

You're lying though, its impossible to get through the barracks without fighting...

RE: Quick and Easy Start

I've tried this, I don't know about you but it wasn't worth all the reloading to try and get to Navarro. I swear my PC was against me getting there.

RE: Quick and Easy Start

Um, its very possible to go through the Enclave HQ without fighting cept the final battle. I was lvl 19 when I finished the game, no hacks or cheats and with a melee char. I only killed 1 in the Enclave, and that was the rat bastard(can I say rat bastard?) Horrigan. And, Splat, did you have your buddies with you while you were in the HQ, cuz they will attack you if you're with them. And were you using the patched version?

"Three guns are better than two."

RE: Quick and Easy Start

I've tried this method once, just to try something different. Wandering down to San Fran when you're 1st or 2nd level is much harder than it sounds. I continually got jumped by bandits, highwaymen, Enclave patrols, and remains of the master's army. I finally got tired of getting fried by all these groups, so I gave up on it. Plus, I think you have to have a good speech skill. I never got the option to tell Chris at the gas station that I was a new recruit. Well, I think I did once, but he didn't believe me.
