Repair Bay in SAD

What can the Repair Bay on the 2nd (not quite sure about the number - it is the level with the armory and "electric" floor) floor do ?. It has a computer though, but all I could do was to turn it off...

I really don't want to spoil it for you, if you haven't taken the liberty to read the walkthrough in the website yet. But, here is a big hint: If fixes certain something in the base over and over again, try to guess what by whacking a few things and come back later.;-)

well...shame on me... I give up...

What does it do ? ... I couldn't menage to find out...

- it doesn't fix any robot
- it ain't also fixin' any devices in SAD, does it ?

Once I was fighting with sentry robots while the Repair Bay was turned off they stopped using their weapons, but only for few turns.

As far as I can tell it does nothing. I whacked a few robots, damaged others, then left the Depot and drove around for some time. When I re-entered they were at exactly the same HP, in the same positions, etc.
