[FO2] Sick of those thieving bastards in the Den?

Sick of those thieving bastards in the Den?

I am sure some of you may have tried this, I found a way to prevent the kids in the Den from stealing from you (other than killing them). Before you go into one of the shops enter combat mod, walk past the kids and end combat when you are out of their reach.

Yes, that's a nice way of avoiding them. You also can give your belongings to your NPCs, as the boys don't steal from them. Also they won't steal your armor and the items in the "use" slots...

I use the 10mm Pistol along with some AP ammo (the FMJ ammo always makes me a Child Killer) to wound the urchins. 6 or 7 HP of damage is usually enough to get the message across. Needless to say, save before trying this.

Now every time they see me, they run away with they arms flailing about. :D

Now for the REAL way of handling them, you need to have nothing in your inventory except a bit of explosives set for about 5 minutes. Walk through and let them have a treat. Just make sure you stand back far enough so the little bastards' spleens and intestines don't muck up your boots.

Bah, that's too annoying to do every time you passed through the shop and Casino. Just stand in front of them, if they manage to steal something from you, just steal it back. Nothing will happen if you get caught. They just say something like, oops, missed again and such.

ROFL - that's priceless - another excuse to play again - damn it I don't have time........... If you are lucky you can even get free loot from tubby's if the brat returns the stolen goods
